The Indian Army has released the notification for NCC Special Entry Scheme 125th Course (April 2027) for 70 vacancies for unmarried male NCC cadets (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel). Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission (Non-Technical) and commissioned as Lieutenants after successful training. Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
Candidates studying in the final year may also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility conditions before the prescribed date.
Must possess an NCC 'C' Certificate with minimum 'B' Grade.
19 to 25 years (as on 1 April 2027).
All Categories: Nil (No application fee).
There is no written examination for the NCC Special Entry Scheme. Eligible candidates are shortlisted directly for the Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview, followed by a medical examination. Final selection is based on SSB performance, medical fitness, and the merit list.

Candidates recommended by the SSB must undergo a Special Medical Board and satisfy the prescribed Indian Army medical standards.

✅ Healthy cardiovascular and respiratory systems
✅ Normal hearing
✅ Good dental health
✅ Fit musculoskeletal system with normal limb function
Good binocular vision.
Vision should meet the standards prescribed for commissioning into the Indian Army.
Candidates who have undergone eye surgery or have visual defects beyond the permissible limits may be declared unfit after specialist evaluation.
Although there is no Physical Fitness Test (PFT) in the selection process, candidates should maintain excellent fitness to successfully complete:
Long-distance running
Push-ups and core strengthening
Upper-body and lower-body endurance exercises
General stamina and flexibility training
This preparation is also important for training after selection.

There is no written examination under the NCC Special Entry Scheme.
Candidates are commissioned as Lieutenants.
Pay Level-10
Basic Pay: ₹56,100 per month plus Military Service Pay (MSP) and other admissible allowances.

Visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on 'Officer Entry Application/Login'.
Click 'Registration' and complete the registration form (skip this step if already registered on the portal).
After registering, click 'Apply Online' under the Dashboard, then select 'Eligibility' on the Officers Selection page.
Click 'Apply' against the "Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course" option.
Fill in personal information, communication details, education details, and previous SSB details across each segment, clicking 'Save & Continue' after every section.
Review all details on the 'Summary of your information' page and click 'Submit' only after confirming accuracy.
Take two printouts of the submitted application (with Roll Number) 30 minutes after final closure of the online application on the last day.
