68th Short Service Commission (Technical) Women Course – April 2027

The Indian Army has released the latest recruitment notification for unmarried female engineering graduates to join as Short Service Commission (Technical) Officers. Selected candidates will undergo training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, and will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army. A total of 31 vacancies have been announced, including vacancies for widows of defence personnel.

🎓 Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• B.E./B.Tech degree in the notified engineering discipline from a recognized university.

• Final-year engineering students may also apply, subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions before joining.

🎂 Age Limit

SSC (Technical) Women

• Minimum Age: 20 Years

• Maximum Age: 27 Years

• Candidates should be born between 01 April 2000 and 31 March 2007.

Defence Personnel Widows

• Maximum Age: 35 Years
