IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 Notification Out – Apply Online for 470 Engineers, Officers & More Posts

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released the IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 Notification for 470 Executive-level vacancies through Computer Based Test (CBT). The recruitment includes Graduate Engineers, Officer (Marketing), Officer (Law), Assistant Quality Control Officer and Diploma Engineer posts.

The official notification was released on 14 August 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications online from 14 August to 3 September 2026 (up to 5:00 PM).

📌 IOCL Vacancy 2026 – Post Wise

The recruitment covers the following five categories:

The official notification confirms the overall 470 Executive vacancies; reservation is applicable as per Government of India rules for eligible OBC(NCL), SC, ST, EWS and PwBD candidates.

🎓 Educational Qualification

1. Graduate Engineer – Grade A

Candidates should have a full-time regular B.E./B.Tech./equivalent degree in the relevant engineering discipline.

Eligible domains include:

• Chemical Engineering

• Civil Engineering

• Computer Science & Information Technology

• Electrical Engineering

• Electronics & Communication

• Instrumentation

• Mechanical Engineering

For General/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates, the minimum qualifying percentage is generally 65%, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates require 55% in the prescribed engineering qualification.

2. Officer – Marketing, Grade A

• MBA / Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration equivalent to MBA as per AIU

• Specialization in Marketing Management

• General/EWS/OBC(NCL): 60%

• SC/ST/PwBD: 55%

The qualification must be a 2-year full-time regular programme.

3. Officer – Law, Grade A

Candidates must have either:

• Graduation in any discipline + LLB, or

• 5-year Integrated LLB

Minimum marks:

• General/EWS/OBC(NCL): 60%

• SC/ST/PwBD: 55%

The LLB qualification must be recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification professional experience as on 30 June 2026 is required for the Law Officer post.

4. Assistant Quality Control Officer – Grade A0

Candidates need a relevant Master's Degree in Chemistry, such as:

• Chemistry

• Inorganic Chemistry

• Organic Chemistry

• Analytical Chemistry

• Physical Chemistry

• Applied Chemistry

• Industrial Chemistry

Minimum marks:

• General/EWS/OBC(NCL): 60%

• SC/ST/PwBD: 55%

Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in testing/R&D/quality control in petroleum, petrochemical, polymer or fertilizer laboratories, or qualifying experience in an appropriate NABL-accredited chemical testing laboratory.

5. Diploma Engineer – Grade E0

A 3-year full-time Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline is required.

Relevant areas include:

• Electrical

• Mechanical

• Chemical

• Civil

• Electronics

• Instrumentation

• Fire & Safety-related disciplines

Generally, candidates need 65% marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD, wherever applicable.

⚠️ Important: Candidates possessing professional higher qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, CS, CMA, MCA or PhD are not eligible for the Diploma Engineer Grade E0 post.

🎯 Age Limit

Age is calculated as on 1 July 2026.

Age relaxation is available to eligible reserved categories and Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India/IOCL rules.

💰 Salary / Pay Scale

IOCL offers an attractive executive pay package:

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates are eligible for DA, HRA/subsidized accommodation, medical facilities, gratuity, provident fund, leave benefits, LTC/LFA, performance-related pay and other benefits as per IOCL rules.

• SC/ST/PwBD: No application fee

📝 Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

1️⃣ Computer Based Test (CBT)
2️⃣ Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT)
3️⃣ Personal Interview (PI)

The CBT contains 100 objective questions:

Each question carries 1 mark, with a 0.25-mark negative marking for every incorrect answer.

CBT Qualifying Marks

• General/EWS/OBC(NCL): 40% in each section + 45% overall

• SC/ST: 35% in each section + 40% overall

• PwBD: 25% in each section + 30% overall

Merely qualifying the CBT does not guarantee shortlisting for GD/GT/PI.

📍 CBT Examination Centres

IOCL has listed 83 possible CBT cities, including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and many others. Candidates have to provide three centre preferences in priority order. IOCL may change/add/reduce centres depending on administrative requirements.

📌 Job Location

Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India, including IOCL's refineries, pipelines, marketing divisions, plants, units, departments, subsidiaries, joint ventures and, at the management's discretion, overseas offices.
