The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), Ministry of Railways, have released Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 05/2026 for recruitment to 590 Paramedical Category posts across Indian Railways. The recruitment includes Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist (Entry Grade), Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II, Radiographer/X-Ray Technician, Lab Assistant Grade II, ECG Technician, Optometrist, Dialysis Technician, and Audiologist & Speech Therapist posts.

🎓 RRB Paramedical Educational Qualification 2026

The educational qualification is post-specific. Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on or before the closing date of application.

1. Nursing Superintendent – 365 Posts

Candidates should have either:

• B.Sc Nursing, or

• Registered Nurse & Midwife with a 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course from a recognized School of Nursing/Institution.

The prescribed registration requirements also apply.

2. Pharmacist (Entry Grade) – 118 Posts

Candidates should possess:

• Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized institution, as prescribed; and

• Registration under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

3. Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II – 43 Posts

Candidates should have:

• B.Sc. with Chemistry as a main/optional subject, and

• One-year Diploma in Health/Sanitary Inspector, or

• One-year National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Health Sanitary Inspector awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training.

4. Radiographer/X-Ray Technician – 25 Posts

Candidates should possess the prescribed 10+2 qualification with PCM/PCB along with a Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technology, or the equivalent qualification specified in the notification.

5. Lab Assistant Grade II – 31 Posts

Candidates should have:

• 12th/Intermediate with Science, along with the prescribed Diploma/Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology, or

• The prescribed B.Sc./MLT qualification.

6. ECG Technician – 4 Posts

Candidates should possess the prescribed 10+2/Science qualification along with the required ECG/Cardiology Technology certificate or diploma.

7. Optometrist – 2 Posts

Candidates should possess the prescribed B.Sc. in Optometry or the required Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician/Optometry qualification.

8. Dialysis Technician – 1 Post

Candidates should possess the prescribed B.Sc. qualification with Diploma in Haemodialysis or the equivalent qualification/experience specified by RRB.

9. Audiologist & Speech Therapist – 1 Post

Candidates should possess BASLP or the prescribed equivalent qualification and registration with the applicable authority, as specified in the CEN.

The age limit is calculated as on 01 January 2027. The maximum age differs according to the post.

RRB Paramedical posts carry different 7th CPC Pay Levels.

In addition to basic pay, selected employees receive applicable allowances and benefits according to Railway rules.
