The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has released the Sports Quota Recruitment 2026-27 notification under Employment Notification No. 04/2026. Eligible Indian sportspersons can apply online for 56 vacancies in Level-1, Level-2, and Level-3 posts under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The online application process is open from 25 July 2026 to 24 August 2026.

Selected candidates will be appointed in various units and divisions of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). Posting can be made anywhere within the NFR jurisdiction based on the organization's requirements.

🎓 Educational Qualification

🟢 Level-2 / Level-3 Posts

• 12th Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.

• Candidates applying under specific categories may require higher qualifications as prescribed in the notification.

🟢 Level-1 Posts

• 10th Pass (Matriculation)
  OR

• ITI
  OR

• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT.

🏅 Sports Eligibility

Candidates must have represented India/State/University or achieved the prescribed performance in recognized National or International championships as mentioned in the notification.

🎂 Age Limit (As on 01 January 2027)

• ✅ Minimum Age: 18 Years

• ✅ Maximum Age: 25 Years

Note: No age relaxation is admissible for Sports Quota recruitment.

💰 Pay Scale

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will receive DA, HRA, Transport Allowance and other Railway allowances as per rules.

💳 Application Fee

Payment Mode: Online (Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI). Eligible candidates paying ₹250 are entitled to a refund after appearing in the recruitment process, subject to the notification conditions.
