AAI NR Apprentice Recruitment 2026–27 – Apply Online for 205 Graduate, Diploma & ITI Apprentice Posts

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Northern Region has released Advertisement No. 01/2026/APPRENTICE/GRADUATE/DIPLOMA/ITI/NR for engagement of Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentices for the training year 2026–27.

A total of 205 apprenticeship seats are available at various AAI airports and establishments under the Northern Region. The apprenticeship training will be for 12 months.

🏷️ Category-Wise Vacancy – UR/OBC/EWS/SC/ST

Important: The AAI notification does not provide an exact numerical UR/OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST breakup against the 205 seats.

AAI states that SC/ST, OBC and EWS reservation will be followed as applicable. If candidates are unavailable in a reserved category, the seats may be filled from other reserved/general categories.

Therefore, the correct presentation is:

⚠️ Do not calculate category-wise seats by simply applying reservation percentages to 205, because those numbers would not be official AAI figures.

🎓 Educational Qualification

Graduate Apprentice

Candidates must possess a full-time regular 4-year Degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline, recognized by AICTE, Government of India.

Eligible disciplines include Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science/IT, Aeronautical/Aerospace/Aircraft Maintenance, Architecture and Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.

Diploma Apprentice

Candidates must possess a full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline, recognized by AICTE, Government of India.

ITI Apprentice

Candidates must possess the relevant ITI/NCVT certificate from an institution recognized by the Government/competent authority for the prescribed trade.

📅 Passing Year Eligibility

Candidates who have passed their required Degree/Diploma in 2024 or later are eligible, subject to fulfilment of all other conditions.

🎯 Age Limit

Relaxation in the upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other eligible categories will be applicable according to Government of India guidelines.

💰 AAI Apprentice Stipend 2026–27

🎓 Graduate Apprentice

₹15,000 per month

This consists of:

• AAI Share: ₹8,850

• Government Share through DBT: ₹6,150

🛠️ Diploma/Technical Apprentice

₹12,000 per month

The notification specifies:

• AAI Share: ₹6,550

• Government Share through DBT: ₹5,450

🔧 ITI Apprentice

₹9,600 per month

The notification specifies the applicable Government DBT component as ₹5,450.

⏳ Training Duration

The apprenticeship training period is 12 months from commencement of the apprenticeship contract.

After successful completion of the stipulated training period, the apprenticeship contract automatically ceases. Apprenticeship completion does not guarantee regular employment with AAI.

Training will be conducted at various airports/establishments in the AAI Northern Region, including locations such as:

Adampur, Amritsar, Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Bathinda, Bikaner, Chitrakoot, CATC Prayagraj, Dehradun, Farrukhabad, Fursatganj, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Hindon, Hisar, Halwara/Ludhiana, Jammu, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kangra-Gaggal, Kanpur, Khajuraho, Kullu-Bhuntar, Kushinagar, Kishangarh, Kota, Lucknow, Leh, Moradabad, Muirpur, Meerut, Pantnagar, Pathankot, Pratapgarh, Pithoragarh, Prayagraj Airport, Safdarjung, Shravasti, Srinagar, Shimla, Udaipur, Varanasi and various offices in New Delhi, subject to AAI requirements.

The allotted Airport/Station/Unit will be final and requests for change of training location will not be entertained later.

📝 Selection Process

AAI will primarily prepare a provisional merit list based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Selection Stages

Merit List → Document Verification → Interview/Verification → Medical Fitness → Final Selection → Apprenticeship Contract

Key points:

1. Merit is based on qualifying examination marks.

2. In case of equal marks, date of birth and thereafter date of passing are used for seniority.

3. CGPA will be converted into percentage according to the concerned Board/University norms.

4. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification through their registered email ID.

5. Candidates may be called for an Interview/Document Verification.

6. Original documents and self-attested copies must be produced.

7. A Medical Fitness Certificate is required at joining.

8. Final selection is made after document verification and medical fitness.

9. Selected candidates will receive an apprenticeship engagement letter.

⚠️ Important Instructions

• Candidates can apply for only one discipline. Applying for more than one discipline will result in rejection.

• Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship are not eligible.

• Candidates who are currently pursuing/doing apprenticeship in another organization or AAI at the same qualification level are not eligible.

• Candidates having 1 year or more apprenticeship training/job experience after obtaining the essential qualification are not eligible.

• The candidate's profile must be verified by the respective Regional Board.

• Medical Fitness Certificate must be obtained from a Government Medical Officer/Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking.

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Apprenticeship training does not create any right to regular employment in AAI.
